Our hands are one of the most active body parts. We all want soft and beautiful hands but when it comes to skincare, we care only face and hands are often the most neglected part of our body. Taking care of hands in winter is very essential because this is the season when our hands begin to dry up and appear scaly. The skin of our hands is thin thus most suffered   from cold winds. Hence it is important to take care of your hands first and foremost. If your question is- how to treat dry winter hands?

Here are a few Easy Tips to Take Care of Hands:

1. Don’t over wash:

Frequent hand washing with soap can strip natural oils from your skin. Always use a gentle hand wash or a moisturizing soap that contains glycerine or moisturizing ingredients. Always wash your hands with lukewarm water. Don’t over use hand sanitizers because most of them contain alcohol and other hard ingredients that are harsh on the hand skin.

2. Moisturize your hands:

After washing your hands, use a natural hand cream, coconut oil, or Shea butter, to nourish and moisturize the skin of your hands. Almond and olive oil are also good moisturizers, as they keep your hands moisturized for a long time. Always carry a hand moisturizer in your bag, whenever you go outside the home. After a long day don’t forgot to moisturize your hands at night before going to bed. Repeated moisturizing throughout the day nourishes, heals, and protects your hand skin from cold wind.

Sunscreen is not only important in summer but equally important in winter season also. Hands are exposed to the sun and you need to protect them from UV rays. That’s why hand care during winter demands sunscreen to keep the skin safe.
